Barbara Gurry Rowell's work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions at museums and galleries throughout the United States, including  the Cornell Museum in Delray Beach, Florida; The Craftsman Gallery, in St. Petersburg, Florida; The Gallery at Hawthorne Plaza, Overland, Kansas;  Blue Hour Gallery in Marshall, Michigan; Vine & Branches Gallery in Arden Hills, Minnesota, Artifacts Gallery in Indianapolis, Indiana; The Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, the Laughing Fish Gallery in Sarasota, Florida; JJ Watts Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida; and Creator Mundi in Denver, Colorado. Her paintings and art works are in numerous private collections.

She received her formal education in painting  at Syracuse University School of Fine Art in Syracuse, New York and Cayuga College in Auburn, New York. Barbara currently lives in St. Petersburg, Florida with her husband, David, a photographer.
